Adult Education
Members and visitors meet together at 9:30 on Sunday mornings to engage in study on a variety of topics, all relating to Biblical text, including both the Old and New Testaments. We believe studying the Bible is a basic necessity for the practice of faith in our community and individually. Classes aim to stimulate thought, enrich relationships, and strengthen the heart through dialogue with one another as well as within the Biblical texts. The experiences and insights of those who attend are valued, providing a wider pool of resources. Classes are taught by a rotation of the minister and members.

Children Education
Our goal is to teach the children of Lakeview about God and His love through familiarizing them with Biblical principles through stories and learning about Biblical characters. There are always opportunities to serve this ministry by teaching a Bible class, planning and coaching the children for special presentations, and offering suggestions as to how we can better meet the needs of our children. We welcome you and your children to participate in the various LVCC Children’s programs.

Worship Ministry
Our ministry provides numerous avenues for the community to express itself through worship. We meet together in humility to glorify Christ by singing, praying, and communing together. Through worship, we seek to come to a better understanding of God and how to serve Him. There are sermons every Sunday given by our preacher Walter Pierce.

New Seed Food Pantry
In association with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the New Seed Food Pantry distributes food and other necessities to families throughout the city of Chicago. It is open from 9 am to 11 am every Saturday morning at our building. We welcome volunteers to help unload, organize, and distribute items to our neighbors. Finance
The Finance Ministry drafts the annual budget for review and approval by the Servant Leadership Team, maintains the accounting ledger for donations and expenses, and provides oversight for maintaining a balanced budget.

The Building and Grounds Ministry manages the property and building providing recommendations for maintenance and improvements as well as seeking contractors for services as needed.
